As many of our team members are teddies, there is a particular passion among us for helping out cuddly friends of all species. We sadly can’t help antique friends, but we would love to help bears, dogs, cats and any other cuddly friends made of modern materials.

Minor surgery (such as sewing up a small hole where the fabric is in good condition) can be done for free if needed, or a $5-10 contribution for those who can (the teddies on team are adamant that teddy hospitals should be free like human hospitals, but the reality is there is thread and stuffing that needs to be purchased!).

Major surgery where a lining fabric is needed, an eye or other part needs to be replaced, or a lot of time is spent will incur a cost. Please send in pictures of your cuddly friend and their injuries and we will let you know if we can help and what the cost is likely to be.

Teddy spa days are also available for those who need it. Teddies will be treated to a warm bath, full body massage, and relaxing drying session, followed by hair styling or gentle fur brushing as needed. $20 for those who can afford it, otherwise free.

All cuddly friends who come to our hospital are allocated a buddy for their entire stay. One of our wider cuddly crew will accompany them for surgery, reassure them and make sure they are never alone. Updates will be sent to their human regularly, and we will get surgeries done as quickly as possible so they can go back to their humans as fast as possible. For minor repairs it is possible for surgery to be done during a school or work day so you don’t have to be without your cuddly buddy for long. If this is needed please let us know in advance so we can make sure we arrange a suitable day and pick up/drop off times.
