There are lots of patterns and plain colours to choose from! Have a look at our colour page to see the current options. Colours are subject to availability and can change without notice. You may wish to pick your top three colours in case your first choice isn’t available.

Step 1: Choose a similar top or tshirt that you are comfortable in.  You will measure these to make sure your new top is a similar size.   You might even like to choose two of your favourite tops and measure each one to compare.

Step 2:  Lay your top on a flat surface (table, bed, etc)

Step 3: Measure with a ruler or measuring tape the bust (armpit to armpit) and bottom hem.  Compare each of your measurements to the measurements in the chart to choose the correct size for you. If you are trying to decide between two different sizes we suggest choosing the smaller size if you are using the EcoVero or cotton elastane fabrics shown/linked to on our colours page, as the fabric is quite stretchy and can look and feel larger than the same size in cotton. For the cotton fabric we suggest choosing the larger of the two sizes.

Step 4: Measure the length of your tshirt. It is easiest to do this with the shirt face down, so you are measuring the back side of the shirt.  Measure from the middle of the neckline, down to the bottom of the shirt.  If this measurement is the same or very similar to the size you worked out in step 3, great! If it’s quite different don’t worry, just send us the measurement you made and we can adjust the length of your top to be similar.

Women’s style tops have two neckline options, high neckline and the lower scoop neckline. The scoop neckline is also wider on the shoulders than the high neckline. Pictured is a size 12 with a high neckline and a size 14 with a scoop neckline so you can see the difference.

Once we have all the required details you will receive an order confirmation with payment information and estimated time for your order to be ready(usually 4 weeks from date of payment). If you accept the estimated completion date you need to pay for your order (by bank transfer).

Once your order is paid for we will buy the fabric and begin to make your order. Once the fabric is purchased you can no longer cancel your order, and once it has been cut out no changes can be made. 

Shipping is by NZ Post and costs $8.50 for New Zealand towns and cities, plus $5.70 for rural delivery if required. 

Shipping to Australia will be calculated individually for each order, but NZ Post estimates approximately $20NZD.

For those in Christchurch pick up is available from the Learning Needs Library in Sydenham, during their opening hours (Tues & Thurs 10-4.30, Sat 10-1). You will be emailed when your order is ready for collection. Please note we are separate organisations; library staff and volunteers will not be able to answer questions about orders.
